About Me

Alexandria McCulloch PMHNP-BC

I’m Alexandria McCulloch, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over eight years of experience in mental health care. I received my graduate nursing degree from Gonzaga University. I provide individualized psychiatric care for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and other mental health concerns.

My primary focus is psychiatric medication management, but I believe meaningful mental wellness involves more than medication alone. During our work together, I consider the many factors that can influence mental health and quality of life, including sleep, nutrition, physical activity, relationships, therapy, stress, and other aspects of your day-to-day life.

I believe the best mental health care is a team effort. My approach is collaborative and centered around your individual needs, goals, values, and experiences. When appropriate, I work alongside therapists, primary care providers, and other members of your healthcare team to help create a thoughtful and well-rounded treatment plan.

I want you to feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about your care. Together, we can evaluate your symptoms, discuss treatment options, monitor your progress, and make adjustments as your needs change.

Mental health is deeply connected to the rest of our lives. I believe in the importance of the mind-body-soul connection and recognize that wellness can be supported in many different ways. I believe in the restorative power of nature, the importance of positive and healthy relationships, and the therapeutic value of personal passions, hobbies, and creative outlets. Exercise, nutrition, quality sleep, meaningful connection, and therapy can all play an important role in supporting mental wellness.

My goal is not simply to treat symptoms, but to partner with you in pursuing greater stability, well-being, and quality of life. Every person’s experience with mental health is unique. I strive to provide thoughtful, individualized care in an environment where you can feel comfortable being open and honest about what you're experiencing.

Whether you are considering medication for the first time, looking for a different approach to treatment, or seeking ongoing psychiatric medication management, I am here to listen, collaborate, and support you along the way.

Outside of my work, I deeply value time with my family and friends and the connection that comes from being present with the people I love. I also feel most at home outdoors and appreciate the simple pleasures of fresh air, sunshine, rain, and the changing seasons.

Living in the Pacific Northwest has given me an even greater appreciation for nature. I’m continually amazed by the mountains, waterfalls, forests, Pacific Ocean, Columbia River Gorge, and the incredible variety of plants and landscapes throughout the region.

Some of my favorite days are slow mornings with a good cup of coffee followed by a hike, time on the water, or simply being outside. These moments of connection, presence, and appreciation are values I carry into my work with patients.
